As we approach the 30th anniversary of the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to Yasser Arafat, Yitzhak Rabin, and Shimon Peres in 1994, this milestone happens during a troubled time with the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, which began on October 7, 2023.
To reflect on how the past continues to resonate today as we witness the enduring search for peace in this troubled region, INA would like to share a collection of footage about the Israel-Palestine conflict. This archival collection spans from the end of the British mandate in 1947 to the Yom Kippur War in 1973, documenting the creation of the state of Israel, the Israeli-Arab wars, and the everyday lives of both Israelis and Palestinians.
In today’s context, INA believes that this collection can offer an essential historical perspective, shedding light on the deep-seated tensions that continue to fuel conflict in the region.
